Kusanagi Mizuho (草凪 みずほ, Kusanagi Mizuho^?) is a Japanese mangaka and the author of Akatsuki no Yona. She was born on February 3 in Kumatou, Kumamoto Prefecture, Japan. She went on hiatus for several months due to the 5.1 Kunamo earthquake on Aug. 31, 2016. She has since returned to a regular production schedule.

  • Her favorite food is ramen and she prefers vegetables over meat.
  • She has a "super fetish" for voices and loves voice actors.
  • Her favorite movies are The Sound of Music, Lord of the Rings and anything by Hayao Miyazaki. 
  • She is terrible when it comes to the horror genre, especially ones with a lot of murder scenes in them.
• She says that if she is to enter Yona’s world, she would like to be Yun-Ho, as she wants a wild husband adored by everyone and free time where she can spend doing her hobbies.
• She worked as an assistant for Yoko Matsushita's "Descendants of Darkness" manga series.^{[citation needed]}
• She has represented herself in the Akatsuki no Yona manga as both a llama and a meerkat.
